Caron Greene

Principal Planner

Caron is a Chartered Town Planner with over twenty-five years experience of working in both the private and public sector. She has worked in both rural and urban areas throughout England and has a track record for gaining planning permission for residential, commercial and leisure development. 

Caron uses her experience of researching and writing planning policy to inform her advocacy of development schemes to maximise their chance of success. Using keen verbal and written communications skills she has negotiated with many different local authorities to achieve planning permission for a range of clients.

Caron is currently working on a number of projects to develop paragraph 80 dwellings and other forms of development in rural locations.

Background

Before joining Axiom Planning Limited, Caron worked for a property development company providing planning advice at feasibility stage, and then advocating schemes as part of the pre application and planning application process. This experience compliments her previous role as the Director of a small planning consultancy which specialised in both commercial and residential development. Rural work included gaining planning permission for a replacement dwelling, significantly larger than that existing, in the South Downs National Park.

Caron previously had a range of roles working throughout the south east and in Yorkshire on major and minor residential applications for local planning authorities, and researching and writing employment and housing development management and allocations policies.

Recent experience

Planning lead on:

• multiple Planning Appraisals for new dwellings in the countryside;

• pre-application inquiry for multiple dwellings and a creative employment hub located within the Green Belt;

• full projects for two paragraph 80 dwellings and a replacement dwelling in the South Downs National Park.
